He appears in the 1917, 1918 and 1919 Chandler City Directories  as a farmer. His wife was Mary E.

The 1921 directory said he was a rancher and that they lived in RD1 (rural district).

The 1930 and 1932 directories  said J. M. Scheule lived on route 1.

J. M. Schuele appears in the 1932 Phoenix Telephone Directory, Chandler section, as living on a ranch, with the phone number 88-R2.
