PARENTS:

-Mrs. Black, her husband and two children were made seriously ill last Saturday night by ptomaine poisoning.  It is not known what caused the sickness, but it is believed that foodstuffs left in tins were the cause.

The parents ate the food for evening meal with their children.  A few hours later, Mrs. Black got seriously ill, and a short time later so did the rest of the family.  Dr. Gilbert was summoned and found the four in very serious condition.  The children are around the ages of 12 and 13.

By hardwork, Dr. Gilbert succeeded in making them comfortable, and are now to be believed to be out of danger.

The family lives on a ranch west of town.  (Chandler Arizonan 2/14/1913)

-Mrs. Black attended a party thrown by Mrs. George C. Smith last week.  (Chandler Arizonan 8/15/1913)
