He appears in the 1931 and 1932 Chandler (Arizona) City Directories as a student, living at 301 N. California with Mrs. Ada Joiner (probably the same as Mrs. Ada Joyner.)

He also appears in the 1940 Chandler Resident Directory as living with her on the east side of north Dakota beyond Cleveland streets.
