He is listed in the 1916, 1917 and 1918 Chandler City Directories as a rancher and ostrich raiser.

-Mr. Lecky bought 20 acres from Maggie Toston near the townsite.  He is planning to build a house.  (Chandler Arizonan 3/14/1913)

-Mr. Lecky and family are charter members of the Methodist Church.  (Chandler Arizonan 3/21/1913)

-On Tuesday afternoon, Mr. Lecky's horse bolted from the hitchrack near Rinear's Store while attached to a buggy.  The horse damaged the rig and galloped down Commonwealth Ave. and into the open country.  The horse was later captured, and no one was hurt.  (Chandler Arizonan 4/11/1913)
