He is listed in the 1916 and  1917 and  Chandler City Directories as manager of Chandler Hardware & Cycle Co.

The 1918 and 1919 directories list him as an owner of the business with Hubert G. Lemon. The two men also owned Central Garage and Central Blacksmith Shop, according to the 1918 directory.

He also appears in the 1920 directory but with just his name.
