The 1919, 1920, 1921 and 1923 Chandler City Directories list James M. Meason as a physician, married to May Meason. The 1923 directory said his business was on Commonwealth Ave.

The 1925 and 1926 directories said he was the health officer for the Town of Chandler and lived on north Arizona Ave.

The 1929 directory said he was a physician and city health officer, working at 131 S. Commonwealth. He and his wife, identified as Anna, lived at 229 N. Arizona.

The 1930 directory said he had the same jobs but worked at 31 W. Commonwealth Ave. and that he and Anna lived at 205 N. Arizona Ave. Also living there was M. Elizabeth Meason. The 1931 and 1932 directories gave his work address as 131 S. Commonwealth and the same Arizona Ave. address for he and Anna.

Dr. james M. Meason  appears in the 1932 Phoenix Telephone Directory, Chandler section, with a physician and surgery office James Meason. His office phone number was 6. He also is listed in that directory with the home phone number of 4.

The 1940 Chandler Resident Directory said he was the city mayor, with the phone number 10, "chmn City Councilman," director of the Chandler Chamber of Commerce and a physician with Agricultural Workers Health & Medical Assn. He and his wife Anna F. lived on the west side of north Arizona beyond Cleveland and had the phone number 4.
