“Born and raised in Chandler. Served three years in active duty in the Army. My military service led directly to a nearly decade-long stint working as a civilian in the US Intelligence Community. From late 1983 until my retirement in 2015, I practiced law with a large firm in Phoenix. The photo I attached was taken in December 1971 at the Defense Language Institute, and shows me on the left and another student of the Romanian language, both dressed in traditional Romanian garb.” -brief biography on military service submitted by James Ryan
