-Mr. Russell's family is from Hollindale, Mississippi.

They arrived last week for the making of a new home. Mr. Russell says he doesn't know what business he will go into. He is planning to build a home, and maybe a storeroom. (Chandler Arizonan 3/21/1913)

-Mr. Russell and his wife, Madie, are two of the 33 charter members of the Methodist Church. (Chandler Arizonan 3/21/1913)

-Mr. Russell is referred to as Colonel.

He is working on opening a confectionary store with a full line of candies, ice cream, cigars, soft drinks, and a soda fountain.

He went to Phoenix early in the week to buy his stock of goods. He expects to be open on Saturday, and has a partner who is an expert in the candy business. (Chandler Arizonan 4/4/1913)

-Mr. Russell has purchased 20 acres from Dr. Chandler, a mile north of town on Arizona Blvd. The land adjoins Hubbell and Fellows place on the north. He has started work to improve it, and plans to plant alfalfa. (Chandler Arizonan 5/2/1913)

-Mr. Russell has bought the home evacuated by Contractor Tull, who lived here while working on the depot. (Chandler Arizonan 6/6/1913)

-Mr. Russell is still nursing his hand from poisoning after several weeks. He doesn't know how it became poisoned. His middle finger was also infected, but it is better now. Since the injury, he has been unable to work. (Chandler Arizonan 7/4/1913)
