“Provided air navigation support (TACAN) throughout the European theater. The attached photo was from January 1986 in Casablanca Morocco. We were providing an alternate emergency landing site for the Space Shuttle Challenger mission STS-51-L at Mohammed V International Airport. Shown center in the photo is Space Shuttle pilot Col. Karol Bobko. I am to his right (2nd person from the left).
