Nellie Ray also is listed in the 1929 directory as a teacher at the Chandler Grade School.

The 1930 directory said she was a teacher at the Chandler Grammar School and lived at 136 S. California. Living at the same address were Maria Ray and Wardlow Ray.

The 1931 directory also said she taught at the grammar school but lived at 114 S. California with Maria and Wardlow.
