Appears in the 1917 Chandler City Directory as a telephone operator and the 1918 and 1919 directories as a farmer. The 1920 and 1921 directories describe him as a rancher. The 1923 directory gave his home address as: RD 1, Box 15.

-Mr. Adams, who lives west of town, has bought 12 fine thoroughbred Holstein dairy cows, and they are perfect beauties.  (Chandler Arizonan 5/30/1913)
