-Had the first baby boy born in Chandler last Tuesday morning about 1:30.  He weighs almost 9 pounds, and is already being trained to be mayor.  The mother is doing fine.  Drs. Gilbert and Jordan were on the case. (Chandler Arizonan 2/14/1913)

-Mr. Armistead with the McGaughey (J., William, Otto) family wants to lease 1,000 acres long term to go into farming extensively.

They would like the land in one tract, or two if needed close together.  Part alfalfa and part brush is fine, but if no home on the land than improved is better.

The group has been farming in the district for over a year successfully.  (Chandler Arizonan 8/15/1913)
