The 1932 Phoenix Telephone Directory, Chandler section, said people calling the utillity after 5:30 p.m. were to call L. C. Crouch at number 171. It also said he lived on West Boston and his phone number was 171.

He is listed in the 1940 Chandler Resident Directory as an electric service man with the Central Light & Power Co. He and Ethel lived on the south side of West Boston beyond Dakota. Their phone number was 171.
