The 1932 Phoenix Telephone Directory, Chandler section, said L. P. Cloward lived southwest of Chandler and had the phone number 99.

The 1940 Chandler Resident Directory said Lenord P. Cloward was manager of the Pecos Valley Alfalfa Mill and that he and his wife Dasey lived on the west side of North Washington.
