Collwell S. McGhee, sometimes known by his initials C. S. McGhee, is listed in the 1916 Chandler City Directory  as being married to Nellie McGhee and as  a representative of the Thomas Manufacturing Co. The 1918 and 1919 directories list him as a laborer. The 1920, 1921 and 1923 directories said he was a foreman for Chandler Water & Power Co. and that he and his wife lived on Dakota St. 

The 1923 directory gave their address as 130 N. Colorado.

-Mr. McGhee is a baker in Globe, and may come to Chandler for looking at opening up a business here.  (Chandler Arizonan 5/16/1913)

-Mr. McGhee is the son-in-law of Mrs. Adelia C. Denny.

He came to Chandler a week ago to consider opening a bakery here from Globe.  After canvasing the town he has decided on a lot just across from the San Marcos Hotel on the north side.  He has started work on the ovens, and will be ready to open in about 30 days.  He traveled with his wife from Globe to her home in Chandler.  (Chandler Arizonan 6/27/1913)
