-Mrs. Seward is a teacher.

Last Wednesday, she reported no absences or tardies, and her class recited in tip-top manner.  (Chandler Arizonan 2/7/1913)

-On Thursday and Friday in celebration of St. Valentine's Day, Mrs. Seward hosted two parties.  The rooms were decorated in red hearts.  The party guests were to bring some ornaments for a contest honoring St. Valentine.  After the contest portion, refreshments were served consisting of apples and nuts, cocoa, and cakes.  Several new games were introduced by way of entertainment.

Those who participated in Thursday's party were Mrs. D.M. Arnold, Mrs. E. Allen, Miss Louise Kohlmeyer, Misses Grace and RuthJohnson, Miss Medden, Misses Bee and Mildred Clemens, Mrs. B.M. Crenshaw, Mrs. G.L. Gollands, and Mrs. Bradley.

The Friday affair had an attendance of Mrs. George C. Smith, Mrs. J.F. Mallory, Mrs. S.A. Meyer, Mrs. A. Ables, Mrs. F.C. Jordan, Mrs. K.M. Gilbert, Mrs. H.G. Lemon, and Mrs. Markham.  (Chandler Arizonan 2/21/1913)

-Mrs. Seward with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.C. Page, spent Sunday at the ranch of Albert Mason, a son-in-law to Mr. and Mrs. Page.  (Chandler Arizonan 2/21/1913)

-Mrs. Seward had her class celebrate Lincoln's birthday with a newspaper from 1865 telling of his death.

-Mrs. Seward has purchased lot 655, which is directly cross the street from a lot she already owns.  She has moved her home to the new lot, and is now alongside Mrs. Crenshaw.  (Chandler Arizonan 5/2/1913)

-Mrs. Seward will be the new principal for the Chandler school.  She is replacing Professor Markham.  She is well-qualified and has studied many different aspects of domestic science which will be taught next season.

-Mrs. Seward owns 160 acres in the Higley district.  Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.C. Page, are busy clearing the land for her.  (Chandler Arizonan 5/9/1913)
