The 1923 and 1925 directories said he was superintendent of Chandler Public Schools and that he and his wife Mary E. lived at 225 S. Washington.

In the 1926 directory, he is listed as a Grammar School teacher. He and Mary had the same address on Washington.

The 1929 directory said he was superintendent of Chandler Schools.

The 1930 directory said he was principal of Chandler High School and that he and Mary lived at 278 N. Washington.

The 1931 and 1932 Chandler City Directories said he was superintendent of the high school and that he and Mary had the same home address. The 1932 Phoenix Telephone Directory, Chandler section, said Fred P. Austin had the number 101.
