Terrell, Drew
Drew Terrell was a talented football player at Hamilton High. He attended the school from 2005 to 2009. An ace returner main and skilled receiver, Terrell finished his junior season with 49 receptions for 822 yards and seven total touchdowns. He was named second team All-Region at the wide reciever positon, and earned first team All-Region and All-State as a return man. His senior season he was named to 1st team All-Region and All-State as a receiver and a returner. He tallied 70 receptions and seven touchdowns his senior year, and compiled 1400 total yards from scrimmage. He finished his senior ranked as the tenth best player in Arizona by rivals.com.
Terrell elected to continue his playing career at Stanford University. Terrell made an immediate impact as a return man for the Cardinal. He was a three-time All-Conference honorable mention as a return man. He was awarded Stanford's Phil Moffat Special Teams Award his senior season. He was named to the 2013 Casino del Sol All Star game, where he played well enough to earn MVP honors for the game. He finished his Stanford career with 44 receptions for 557 yards and five touchdowns. As a punt returner, he recorded 113 returns for 797 yards and one touchdown in his career. He set a Stanford single season record with 12.1 yards per punt return.
Terrell signed as an undrafted free agent with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2013. After his release, he signed on as a graduate assistant at Virginia Tech. He is presently employed there, where he helps coach wide receivers and special teams.
