He is listed in the 1918, 1919 and 1920 Chandler City Directories as a meat cutter, working at the Harry Lukin store.
His wife was Maude. The 1920 directory also said they lived on Dakota Street.
The 1921 directory said he was an owner of J and J Meat Market.
The 1923 directory said he was the City Marshall, working at City Hall, and that he and Maude lived at 148 S. Dakota.
In the 1925 and 1926 directories, he is listed as city marshall and street superintendent, working at City Hall. He and Maude had the same address.
The 1929 and 1930 directories said he worked with meats at 36 S. San Marcos Place. He and Maude lived at 200 S. Dakota. Willa Sparks also lived there (1929.)
The 1931 directory said Maude S. Spark was the widow of J. F. and still lived with Willa at 200 S. Dakota.
