-Mr. DeWitt was home with his brother when he became ill. Their parents were on vacation at the Granite Reef Dam. The brother notified Dr. Jordan who diagnosed it as a mild case of typhoid fever. The doctor left Mrs. Bland to take care of him until the parents came home. The house was made to be setup likke an improvised hospital. (Chandler Arizonan 8/15/1913)

This could be the K. DeWitt listed in the 1921, 1923 and 1925 Chandler City Directories as a rancher, living on RD 1.
