Gibbons, M. E.

Dr. Gibbons was in a car accident when the vehicle he was riding in fell into the Eastern Canal.  He suffered a broken wrist and a bruised hip. Others in the vehicle included his friend, J.B. Barnett, the 10 year old daughter of S.W.J. Bowen, and Mrs. Bennett.

They were rescued by B.C. Rinear, Mr. and Mrs. L.J. Montgomery, Marie Eldridge, and Lewis Bade.  (Chandler Arizonan 12/20/1912)
