The 1930 directory said he was a gardener, living with Viola at 261 S. Dakota.

In the 1931 directory, he appears as a laborer, living with her at 207 S. California.

The 1940 Chandler Resident Directory said he and Viola lived on the east side of South Oregon beyond Chicago.
