Aldecoa, Ramon

Ramon earned varsity letters in 1963 and 1964 in both basketball and baseball. As the starting catcher he batted .300. The San Francisco Giants signed him out of high school and Ramon spent four years in the minor league baseball system. In 1974, Ramon switched over to fast-pitch softball where he played on two of the best teams ever assembled in Arizona, Kingman’s Turquoise Kings and Phoenix 7th Avenue Auto Parts.  Aldecoa was inducted into the Arizona Softball Foundation Hall of Fame in 2011.
