10. Zora Folley
Chandler resident Zora Folley won several military boxing titles during his Korean War service. After his discharge, Folley quickly became a top contender for the heavyweight title. On March 22, 1967, Folley lost to Heavyweight Champion Muhammad Ali. Folley was one of the first boxers to refer to Ali by his Muslim name. After the fight, Ali stated that Folley was a better boxer than Sonny Liston or Floyd Patterson.
