Mildred Loretta Goodykoontz was born in 1916 or 1917 and was a lodger with the Goodykoontz family. She was raised by Von and Myrtle Goodykoontz on their farm in Indiana and later on their new ranch in Arizona.
She married Bill Dean Akers in 1945 and they had two children, LaDeania and Larry.
