The International Flying Farmers promote the practical use of aircraft in the agricultural industry.  Arizona’s Flying Farmers began in 1946.  Since that time, many Chandler families have been involved in the organization at the local, state, and national levels.  Flying farmers used aircraft to inspect fields, herd cattle, and visit other farms.  In the photo above, flying farmers and their families pose in front of an airplane.
