He is listed in the 1929  directory as a mechanic for E. C. Grasty. His wife was Geraldine. They lived at  108 S. California.

The 1930, 1931 and 1932 directories said he was an engineer for Arizona Edison Co. and that he and Geraldine lived at 375 W. Denver. The 1932 Phoenix Telephone Directory, Chandler section, said Mrs. Walter J. Begley lived on west Cleveland and had the phone number 158.

He appears in the 1940 Chandler Resident Directory as the local manager of Crystal Ice & Cold Storage Co.. He and Geraldine lived on east Denver and had the phone number 93.
