-Mr. Reese is the brother of John T. Reese, and is from Ohio.

He has gotten a promotion to head gardener after Mr. Baldwin went back to Mesa. He has been aiding Mr. Reese in planting trees and caring for the plaza. He has just completed laying out a garden in back of the hotel, planting trees, and other vegetation that will grow quickly. (Chandler Arizonan 6/27/1913)

1916 Chandler City Directory as a partner with John T. Reese, in Reese Bros (or Rees Bros.), a pool hall. But in the 1917 Chandler directory, Daniel T. Reese appears as a liveryman and John T. as a farmer. In the 1918, 1919 and 1920 directories, Daniel T. is listed without an occupation.
