Mr. Sarmiento is the son-in-law of C. C. Bowen, and brother-in-law of Lem W. Bowen.

-Mr. and Mrs. Sarmiento were among a group of stockholders and guests for the Mesa Improvement Company and the Consolidated Canal Company.  They arrived on Wednesday in their private car, "Magnet," for their annual tour of inspection.  They will be having a meeting to review the last year's accomplishments.

Members of the party included Dwight Cutler, Lem W. Bowen, Mr. Hooker, Mr. Gillis, Miss Campau, Mr. and Mrs. Backus, Mr. and Mrs. Ferry, a nurse and two children.  (Chandler Arizonan 2/7/1913)

-Mr. and Mrs. Sarmiento had dinner with Dr. A. J. Chandler and other out of town guests which included Thomas Marshall, Elon Hooker, D. M. Ferry Jr., Lem W. Bowen, Dwight Cutler, Standish Backus, T. J. Wolfley, Mr. Gillis, and Miss Campau.  (Chandler Arizonan 2/14/1913)
