Warfare Theory
Warfare Theory
The warfare theory suggests that the Hohokam collapsed under a series of attacks or raids by hostile neighbors. Aside from the presence of what may be fortifications on some hilltops, very little archaeological evidence supports this theory. In addition, archaeological evidence has not clearly shown when possible hostile neighbors, such as the Navajo or Apache, arrived in the Southwest.
