Archeologist have long pondered what led the Hohokam culture disappearance from the Sonoran region around 1450 C.E. There have been many competing theories including soil salinization, disease, warfare, floods, droughts, and climatic changes. All, some, or none of these therories could be the reason for the collapse. All are still actively under investigation by archeologists and scientists.
