She appears in the 1931 and 1932 Chandler (Arizona) City Directories as a student, living at 316 N. Dakota.

The 1940 Chandler Resident Directory said Edith Dobbins was a bookkeeper for the O. S. Stapley Co. and lived on the north side of West Boston, beyond California, probably with Buford Dobbins and Grover C. Dobbins and his wife Ruth.
