The 1929 directory said he worked in second-hand goods at 198 E. Boston and lived one and 1/4 mile southeast of the city. The same directory also said Earl P. Parrish Jr. worked for him.

The 1930 directory said his wife was Byrel and that his second hand furniture store was at 198 E. Boston. He lived 1 1/4 miles southeast of the city. Donald Parrish and Earl P. Parrish Jr. worked as clerks for him and lived at 198 E. Boston.

The 1931 and 1932 directories said he had the same business and lived one mile southeast of the City. It spelled his wife's name Beryl. Earl D. Parrish worked for him as a clerk.

E. P. Parrish appears in the 1932 Phoenix Telephone Directory, Chandler section, as living on a ranch southeast of Chandler, with the phone number 79-R4. It also listed a Parrish Second Hand Store on east Boston.
