The 1932 directory said he was a co-owner of Bob & Slims Garage, with C. B. Shields being the other owner.

The 1940 Chandler Resident Directory said Robert L. Brion was owner of Bob's Lunch and lived with his wife Betty on the west side of South California, beyond Boston streets.
